Drinking Board Games

Drinking board games may be store bought. These games are designed to involve drinking, though that may not be the subject matter of the actual game. Some people also play regular board games and add their own drinking twist.

Martini The Game and Brew opoly are examples of themed drinking board games that can be purchased from a retail location. The first has players race each other in the creation of a martini. The second is the game Monopoly with breweries as its subject matter.

Other drinking board games may use the regular sets of such games as checkers, chess, or battleship. They often involve game pieces representing or being represented by small shots of some beverage. Each time a player loses a piece, he or she is required to drink the shot.

When alcoholic beverages are used for these games, it is important that caution is exercised. Generally, lower alcohol percentages are used. This means that the shots are commonly shots of beer rather than hard alcohol. Diluted mixed drinks may also be used, as well as extra small sips of stronger drinks.
