Clue Board Games

Clue board games began in the United Kingdom. Originally, the game was published under the name Cluedo. Waddingtons was the name of the company which first released it in Leeds, 1949.

Themes held by Clue board games include mystery and crime. The game is set in a mansion, with players taking on the names of guests. According to the game, the owner of the mansion has died. It is up to the players to determine who the killer is.

Clue board games come in many varieties. Some reflect movies, such as Harry Potter or Alfred Hitchcock films. Others focus on television shows such as the Simpsons or the Twilight Zone. Many have also been designed specifically for children with the omission of the murder element.
