Classic Board Games
Classic board games have lasted many years for different
reasons. Many of the earliest board games reflect timeless themes of
life. Others just include more abstract concepts that also fit into
any era.
The first American classic board games were often focused on morality.
One of the earliest was known as The Checkered Game of Life. It was
created by the Milton Bradley Company. Many people still play it today.
Other examples of classic board games include chess sets and checkers. These
are strategy games to be played between two opponents. There are also
many games designed for family play. Examples include Monopoly, Scrabble,
and Battleship.
