Board Games

Board games have existed since ancient times. There are many different forms of such games. Some rely primarily on luck, others on strategy. Still others are more knowledge-based.

Children’s board games are commonly based upon luck. For such beginning players, games often include no decision-making whatsoever. Examples of this include Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders.

Board games may involve strategy only, such as chess or checkers. Trivial Pursuit, on the other hand, requires lots of general knowledge and pop culture awareness. Of course, many games may combine these elements for multi-faceted play.
